Committees

Professional Achievers Circle

This committee reviews Professional Achiever's Circle (PAC) rules and examines PAC applications to qualify them for approval by the Board of Directors. Additionally, the Association's Annual Awards are reviewed each year and amended as needed. Committee member positions are three-year terms and are selected by the Awards Committee Chair and Vice-Chair each year. If interested, please submit your applications as soon as possible.

 

Governmental Affairs & RPAC

This committee reviews legislation and recommends political action to protect the interests of REALTORS®, our industry, and our clients. It shapes the formulation of local laws and regulations through professional lobbying, grassroots advocacy, and supporting the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates for public office. This committee raises funds and recommends disbursements for the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC).

Communications and Events Committee

This committee helps bring our members together by planning quarterly networking events and keeping everyone connected throughout the year. We focus on boosting communication and engagement through a variety of channels, including our members-only Facebook group and other platforms.  

Community Cares Committee

This committee leads the association’s efforts to give back through meaningful community service and benevolence projects. Each year, the team focuses on organizing 2 to 3 impactful activities, with a strong commitment to involving and supporting both Bartow and Gordon Counties.  

Member Services Committee 

This committee is responsible for planning and coordinating all educational classes and programs offered by the association. It also oversees the New Member Orientation, helping new members get started and stay informed from day one.  

Affiliate Committee 

This committee works to strengthen the connection between Affiliate and REALTOR® members by encouraging active participation, improving communication, and identifying potential new affiliate members to grow and support our network. Membership on this committee is limited to Affiliate members only.


    Statewide Professional Standards Cooperative

    The Northwest Metro Association of REALTORS® is a member of the Statewide Professional Standards Cooperative established by the Georgia Association of REALTORS®. Members of the following 2 committees are appointed by the NWMAR Board of Directors at the beginning of each calendar year.

    Grievance

    This committee reviews and investigates complaints against members as well as arbitration requests filed with the Association. When appropriate, it refers them to the Professional Standards Committee for a hearing.

    In order to participate on this committee, you must: (1) have held REALTOR® membership for a minimum of three years; (2) attend a GAR approved Professional Standards training seminar; and (3) sign a confidentiality agreement.

    Professional Standards

    This committee encourages strict adherence to the REALTORS® Code of Ethics by all members. It conducts hearings on alleged violations of the Code of Ethics, commission disputes, and other matters referred by the Grievance Committee and/or the Board of Directors.

    In order to participate on this committee, you must: (1) have held REALTOR® membership for a minimum of five years; (2) attend a GAR approved Professional Standards training seminar; and (3) sign a confidentiality agreement.
